SCD Last Birthday Challenge

Well over at SCD challenge blog it is the finial birthday week and another twinchie challenge. This week the theme is CROWNS.

The guest designer this week is Karen, who I know from the Bramford Crop....please go over and see hers and the other DT twinche creations.

Ok mine is another digi one this week, my partners father has gone back home, but I still have alot of sorting to do before I can get to my scrapping desk. I have some time off over the next week so plan on having a sort out of the flat and my craft area.
I used Photoshop CS2 and a variety of brush downloads to get the background effect. The crown was downloaded off the internet.

I hope everyone has a good Bank Holiday weekend and that they get some crafting done.

A Few of my Favourite............BOOKS

Over at A Few of my Favourite Thing the challenge is to scrap your fav books. Well I was going to photograph the books I owned, but could not find them all (some are still in boxes from when we moved in January!) So I used the beloved Google to find a few of my favourite books covers.

I am still working on my 2010 resolution to read more.....damn life getting in the way!!

So here is my LO for the challenge....

I used my MME Penny Lane papers and some My Little Shoe Box papers from my stash. It has inspired me to find up a couple of these books to re-read them....ok not helping with my reading more books but it is still reading.

Well I do not currently have a work desk due to some ongoing health issues with my fiance, his dad is staying around, which means due to the small space in out flat my scrapping area is out of bounds.

I do however have my 7L really useful box with some stash and my latest paperpad which I am using to do a little bit of crafting when I can find sometime.

Sorry it is not much to look at this week

Quick Card

I need to make a quick card tonight for the future mum-in-laws birthday, due to ongoing stuff at home it was a quick job but I hope she likes it all the same.

I am using my adhesive lace borders on everything at the moment!

May's Wordle

I am still working on my document:2010 album, thinking I may have to get another album soon!

Part of my documenting each month I am scrapping a Wordle made from my blog, I really love how this captures the month of my blogging habits.

Here is this months Wordle, which I will scrap at the June crop. Mel your name is featured in this one, very appropriate as you introduced me to it!

Also here are a couple of the LO that I have created for my 2010 album.

Blog Issues

Hi All

I just wanted to appologies if anyone has had problems reading my blog. Blogger has been playing about with some of the custom codes I tried to apply.

Hopefully you can all read me clearer now.

I found this on the web somewhere, I did note down where but have lost the paper in the chaos that is our flat at the moment, when I do find it I will update.

SCD Challenge

Well what a week it has been, I am looking forward to the summer, where hopefully life will have calmed down and I will be able to recharge my batteries. Any way!

Over at SCD this week they are on their 3rd birthday month posting and it is still twinches and the theme this week is Paris, go over and check the DT great creations.

Something a bit different from me this week, due to some health issues my partner is suffering with, his dad has come down. This means that my scrapping area is out of bounds, due to the limited space in our flat. But I really wanted to have a go so I created a digi twinchie, I hope that is ok

I used Photoshop CS2 and created lots of layers with brushes and then used an photo of the tower to overlay. I am hoping that things will improve at home and I get my scrapping space back.......I really need a creative outlet!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend and that the lovely weather continues over the week.

Thanks for stopping by.

All About Me Blog Hop

The wonderful Mel over at I Speak Melsh has organised a blog hop, I am super excited as it is the first I have been involved in (although I nearly missed out...stupid blogger). She has details of the challenge on her blog. Warning I have included alot of photos in this post, I wanted to show it from all angles.

I used a small box album by Teresa Collins for Junkits, I brought it at Ally Pally and was just waiting for a project to use it. I love the acordian style insert, I covered this with some Basic Grey paper from my stash. The tricky bit was scaling down all my pictures to 5cm by 5cm, but with the use of a new feature I found on Photoshop CS2 I managed it.

I wanted to have a photo for every question, I had planned this earlier in the week so knew what I had to take pictures of. I tried to include a bit of journalling on each page, which you can hopefully see ok, I used some 7gypies lables to make small journalling blocks. I then used some peel-offs and some lace effect tape to embellish the pages.

Please pop over to the next blog the wonderful Cate at {behind the purple door} and see her interpretation of the challenge.

I am looking forward to the blog hop tomorrow and checking out all the different projects, and leaving comments for you all.

Can I lastly thank the wonderful Mel again for organising it, I have only been blogging a short while and Mel is one of the blog I like to visit and she always leaves such sweet comments....oh and she introduced me to Wordle (which I scaled down for one of my photos)

Now go enjoy the blog hop.....

Sneek Peek

Just wanted to leave a Sneek Peek for tomorrows blog is all finished, and I am very happy with it.

Looking Forward.....

After a SMALL technical hitch I have all the details for the blog hop organised by the wonderful Mel. I have to make a few more additions to my projects and then it is ready to photograph.

Please check back tomorrow for all the excitment.

SCD Weekly Challenge

Over a SCD it is the start of there birthday month, Carol's baby is nearly a year old. This month it is the return of the 'twinchie' the theme being butterflies.

I must admit I am not a butterfly fan really when it comes to scrapping, I know they will always be fashionable and I have plenty of stash with them on, so I decided to give it a go.

I tried to keep it simple, stamped the background with a Prima stamp with Worn Lipstick Distress Inks, then used an off-cut of some holographic tape I had lying about on my desk. I then hunted and found my TSV Martha punch and attacked an off cut from my favourite MME paper pad. I finished it off with some bling and a bit of doodling.

So please pop over and see the brilliant DT twinches and take part in Carol's wonderful challenge blog.

Whats On Your Work Desk Wednesday?

I have seen this on a few peoples blogs over the past few weeks and tracked it back to the original blog, all I can say there is alot of blog to go around and I love the being nosey around peoples stuff. So I took the plunge, no tidying nothing, just snapped here we go my scrapping corner of the living room, which is in need of a sort out.
Below is the desk I use to scrap on, it is an old one from Ikea, I picked it up from ebay last year sometime, it is good as it has cubby holes recessed in the top where I can store common used stuff. I also store bits on top, again this is how I left it. I look out the window as well which I like for the daylight, but have my clip lamp for when I am scrapping at night.
This is the stuff currently balanced on the small table I have beside my desk, it is where I dump stuff when I am working, I also have my magazines and tool bags stored on here too. I tidy it regularly, but it does not stay tidy for long. I also have a stack of Really Useful Boxes which I store papers, ribbions and punches in.This is my plastic draw unit in which I store my paper pads, stamps, embellishments, and tools. I also use my cricut on top of this unit.

Thanks for looking......if anyone has.

Handmade Love Challenge

Well I am catching up with my blogging tonight, and wanted to post my LO for the challenge posted on Handmade Love. This was using the movie poster for 500 days of Summer as inspiration, you can see the great DT LO on the blog.

I decided to keep the page simple due to the background paper, and did not want the page to be too busy.
There next scraplift challenge is up I just need to get myself motivated and organised to print the photo I want for it.

New Stuff

I have not done much scrapping this week, but I have done a couple of other projects, made a birthday card and a mini album.

This card was for my dad's birthday, it was a bit of a last minute job, but turned out ok. The watering can was my first attempt using ProMarkers, I am happy with the result, need a bit more practice.

The mini album is a gift for my friend, it is to document her first 3 months of marriage and motherhood. I used a Maya Road coaster album and some lovely My Minds Eye paper I picked up at The Range the other day. I am still to give the album to her, I hope she likes it.

A few of my favourite things.....

Well on my blog trawling the other day I came across a new challenge blog These are a Few of my Favourite Things, this month challenge was about scrapping your favourite music. I have a very diverse taste in music, so decided to scrap my ipod and some of the music list.
I have bookmarked the blog so I will be looking forward to future challenges. Have some other bits I need to blog hopefully get around to it lately.

SCD/Handmade Love Challenge

Well I had a good weekend of scrapping at the Bramford Crop- NSD Crop managed to do some LO inbetween shopping and chatting.....and nibbling on lots of lovely snacks!

I managed 5 LO at the crop and did another one tonight for the challenges over at SCD and Handmade Love, decided to combine the theme of SCD, the letter X, and the sketch from Handmade Love. I also used a kit of papers I got a while ago from American Crafts which I have been waiting to use for the right photos. Oh and some Tim Holz tickets that got from Ally Pally.

I have a list of other challenge blogs I have found recently which I want to try and work with over the next few days.

I did tidy my craft area today and am in the process of trying to reduce my supply and have a clear out........not sure that will work!

Have a good week everyone.
